We are ISO 9001:2015 certified which shows the commitment to our customer's requirements, you can find out more about ISO 9001 and what is involved on the ISO website.
Our customers trust us with their data and so in return, it is only correct that we take the precautions needed to protect their data in the best possible way.
GDPR & PCI:DSS
We are sure you’ve been flooded recently with those pesky GDPR emails from many companies you signed up to years ago, and no doubt you are glad to stop hearing from some of them. Well, you’ll be glad to know this blog isn’t going to go on about that in much detail, we don’t wish to bore you anymore… Just know we are compliant and your data is always secured.
As you are aware GDPR and PCI:DSS compliance is required and should be expected when buying goods from any company however we always try to go the extra mile. We recently obtained the Cyber Essentials standard.
Cyber Essentials Standard
The accreditation costs £300 and is accomplished by carrying out an internal audit of our systems to ensure that as a business we adhere to security best practices.
Our management team decided this year that in light of the upcoming GDPR changes and, in particular, given the data we control it was important that we obtained the Cyber Essentials accreditation. This has further embedded the culture of data security awareness within Wardworth Ltd.
How we meet the Cyber Essentials Standard
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme that is designed to help organisations of any size protect themselves against a range of the most common cyber attacks. Their approach to security, and the regulations surrounding this, has meant that we’ve had to make some changes to the way we work in order to comply with this specification. Most of these changes are internal and, as a customer, you won’t see any obvious changes to your Ladderstore account. In addition to slight changes to each individual computer, our firewalls, staff and systems were penetration tested to ensure that they were not vulnerable to attack.
Finally, we made a number of changes to the manner in which we hold and process data, which is part of a culture of change that runs throughout the core of our business. This means that, along with the new GDPR changes, our customer’s data is now safer than ever. This is a fantastic achievement and helps to demonstrate just how much extra protection measures we have here.
