LADDER SAFETY - LADDER ASSOCIATION & THE TEST & RESEARCH CENTRE
Here at Ladderstore we are passionate about safety when working at height. We want everyone who works at height to go home safely at the end of the day. We have been staunch members of the Ladder Association for a long number of years. The Ladder association is the industry body that is home to all the vital guidance and training needed to help ensure that working at height is undertaken as safely as possible. Each member of our team has been on the Ladder Association Inspection and User training to keep up to date with safety and changing ladder practices. Our Managing Director Gail Hounslea is the former and first female chairman of the Ladder Association too. You can find some quick words from her below.
"About 10 years ago I became a member of the Ladder Association Council and was proud to become their first female Chairperson in March 2020. The Ladder Association Council is a group of manufacturers, suppliers and training companies that come together to make sure that end users are as using equipment that is as safe as possible and manufactured to a standard."
The Ladder Association & PASMA joined forces to fund a Test & Research Centre that has the capability to test working at height equipment and reduce the instances of falls from height. I am also proud to be a Trustee of the Test & Research Centre. Recently the Test & Research Centre has worked with Trading Standards to remove over 800 dangerous ladders from the supply chain making the working at height world a safer place.
